Miami Moments

Its now been four months since I’ve moved to Miami. While I made myself the promise to spend more time shooting in 2016, it recently came like a slap in the face to realize that I haven’t lived up to my resolution. At some point while here I allowed myself to fall into the rut of thinking that there isn’t as much to see and shoot in Miami as I enjoyed back home. But, in retrospect, I need to chastise my own thinking as being intolerably naive and myopic; regardless of where he is, a photographer is never truly bereft of stories to shoot and share. Different they may be, yes, but never uninteresting to someone who claims to love the thrill of discovery and the joy of sharing.

It’s necessary that I thank those who have told me I was wrong. Photography truly is a tool for discovery and sharing. And our world truly is full of stories and moments. This post is a collection of moments shot in Miami. They’re moments, snippets of time snatched and saved. But they’re also reminders to me that the spirit of discovery ought to stay alive within me no matter where I end up. Do enjoy these few moments. More photos will be added as they are shot. And, soon enough, I’ll have more to share from this point on the globe than just isolated moments.
